Betty Bae, LCSW-C
Betty Bae (she/her/hers) is a licensed clinical social worker who works with adolescents and adults. She graduated from Columbia University School of Social Work and obtained her bachelor’s from Colgate University. Ms. Bae has experience in providing treatment services to individuals with problematic behaviors resulting from intense emotions in inpatient residential treatment care and juvenile justice detention settings. She has experience working with various disciplines in coordinating therapeutic treatment involving different systems. She also has worked with individuals that have experienced trauma and abuse while working in therapeutic foster care and an outpatient practice servicing children in domestic violence situations.
She is intensely trained in DBT-PE (prolonged exposure), a gold standard treatment for those with chronic and complex presentations and severe trauma history. She also provides parent coaching services. Ms. Bae has over 10 years experience providing comprehensive DBT individual therapy and skills training in the private practice setting. She specializes in clients who have long mental health histories and have not found the desired relief.
