Individual therapy sessions offer a validating, non-judgmental, and structured environment to work on your personal goals and improve the quality of your life.
DBT skills training teaches concrete and practical strategies to achieve a variety of goals. Skills training is traditionally provided in a group format and focuses on 4 modules:
Please know there are instances when individualized skill training may be utilized to meet your needs.
Phone coaching is provided to all DBT clients in order to help implement skills in the moment, as distress occurs. This includes areas such as work, school, or home. The goal is to identify and implement skills as you are experiencing the need for them.
Consultation team is a process designed to enhance the skill of the provider. Through consultation team, clinicians can improve knowledge and adherence to the treatment model.
Consultation to the environment is another important component of DBT that primarily involves parent coaching as well as collaboration with schools, camps, and other providers, as needed. Parent coaching provides guidance and direction on how parents can use DBT skills to effectively manage their own emotions as well as addressing the emotions and behaviors of their children.
The DBT treatment model has also been adapted for family therapy. We have skilled clinicians who are trained in this model and can work with the whole family.
