Lindsay Koosed, LMSW
A native of Virginia Beach and a resident of Maryland, Lindsay (she/her/hers) self-identifies as a New Yorker. As a graduate of University of Maryland’s School of Social Work, Lindsay came to DBT after a long and varied career that started with attending New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. After spending several years as a rehearsal director of a modern dance company in NYC- while also founding the Pilates business for the Equinox chain of gyms- Lindsay began volunteering as a crisis counselor. This led her to consider a career in social work which she pursued in earnest after her two children were born. Upon moving to Maryland, Lindsay began work as a crisis counselor, assisted in training and supervising other crisis counselors, and helped establish the local chapter of the National 988 Suicide and Crisis Hotline. She has extensive training in crisis prevention and intervention services.
Lindsay works with adolescents and adults who want to better understand emotion regulation and create their life worth living.
